After many successful years in PH they have opened a branch in Lagos. Although they have been known more as a pub, their restaurant/bar has a stronger focus on food in Lagos. They have a little window in their dinning area where you can watch the cook slave away on your food, makes it a little more exciting! They have a popular bush bar outside, and are open early for breakfast, till late.

kapsaash: Brilliant food, i mean outstanding food - but the bar girls hovering around you can be extremely annoying. The owners can do a much better job in maintaining this place. While the place has established itself as a 'place to get the girls from', i think it can be a brilliant family place, given the food they serve.mr noel: cheers bar nice place,i just came into nigeria and i like the place.they are excellent in food their service is realy nice.but the waitress are realy all over me. they are cheerful as the name of the bar.
mr ray: cheers bar is a nice place but,all waitress are looking for a white man.the place is full of old women who are never ready to settle down all post is by customer, and no strange thing attached.put an eye on ur staffs,ur enviroment, and ur ...........
"Real World": Don't know how current some of the reviews are... also have to roar with laughter at "Expat" who says that every other bar has "model staff"..... guess it depends what kind of modelling you want done........ Charlie is a lot closer.
Mr Nwankopopo: Cheers bar is excellent for food and thats about it. the Majority of the staff there are very responsible and Accomodating,I would have to agree that The abysmal standard of English in some of these comments indicates that bitter Nigerian women albeit the Staff!!! are using this site to make personal attacks on the their colleagues, reading between the lines this is self evident.
mr brain: Annabel is lesbian to blessing waitress she begs for chicken wings tessy is too old for the job bimpe likes small arab men dat dnt give her money bola brings palm oil for sale thrugh her sista joy uses charm on her white guy helen waitress is too local for the job hope is the best. Waitress chi is too old for the job cashiers am still watching them.joy kitchen corncentrate and leave gossip and picture, cheers nice place to be
Arthur Daley: The abysmal standard of English in some of these comments indicates that bitter Nigerian women are using this site to make personal attacks on the staff at Cheers Bar. I can't believe that expats could speak such poor English! I have always found the staff at Cheers to be polite, restrained and efficient. Also, the guests are, in my experience, of a far higher class than in many other bars in Lagos. @"who be dat": go back to school and learn to spell, your efforts to attack Cheers Bar and its staff are pitiful.
Wahala man: Something has to be done to bring up this place again,it's going down,it's need a good management,a nice a place going to waste, still my favorite bar cos d waitresses re all my friends point of correct,Mr who be dat,u don't use rude words on people like that, dey re not rude girls, all the place needs is a good manager not the soured faced women called the supervisor....
Mr Nwankopopo: Cheers bar is excellent for food. and the majority of the staff there are very responsible and Accomodating,I prefer the inside bar myself as the Bar girls are more freindly and do not harras you as much. I would tend to agree That other bars do seem to have more control even with younger and more inexperienced bar girls. I dont go as much as I used to but still prefer it to other bars just because it is quieter during the week.
Charlie,: Cheers bar is a nice bar very quiet during the week, the Food is good with an Expat Chef. The majority of the Bar Girls are very pleasant, especially Chi Chi Tessy,Hope and Bimpe the cashiers Gift and Lizzy are also very friendly and from what I have seen Help the bar girls during busy times collecting food and serving drinks on there behalf always smiling and polite, some of the Old School from Step In though do tend to let it down with constant harrassment for money and gifts and fighting to get your change back etc. I must also commend the cashier who returned 5000 Naira which I gave in error, as the new money was stuck together. it was a refreshng change.Considering I was very drunk at the time. People have to also understand that anonymouse postings must be taken lightley I would prefer that this is not allowed in future as it does turn this valuable tool into a Forum for alterior motives by some Individuals, having read the post and read between the lines it is clear this is happening.
EXPAT.: I would have to agree with this these bar girls are the rudest i have come accross with alterior motives, Step Inn, Pats Bar, E bar, etc are Model bars you only have to stand and look at the proffessional manner in which they conduct themselves.to understand there is something wrong here.
who be dat: Cheers is a good place,With respect to the warning to a particular staff, lets get something straight post 3 and 5 are damming related to the bar girls, any attacks on individuals including sickafantic reviews are posted by the bar girls themselves or the customers they are having affairs with Married or single joy,Annabel)pay attention. I like the comment from the wife the bar girls are freinds of mine. as if to add credibility to them and deflect attention from them at the same time. Bottom line is it was the bar girls who made these allegations in the first place to the wife. Kate / Chris you need to seriousley look at these bar girls , who are nothing more than old gossipers and destroyers, they constantley beg for money harrase individuals and do very little when your not around Its ashame that this as been allowed to happen, unfortuntaley it is the business that is suffering as a result. why did some leave step inn, its ironic since they left business is booming there and more waitresses have been hired, at step inn they share the tips thats why they left, maybe you should follow suite as it would control them in there behaviour as they appear to be working for themselves at the moment.sharing there tips amongst all bar staff, catering staff and Cashiers on a weekly basis would prevent this. and maybe they would focus on their work.
anonymous: Cheersssss bar, well nice place, kate pls warning to a particular staff, from wat I heard,a cashier,to leave my husband alone, else hell will break loose..all in all a good place and most of the waitresses re my friends..
anonymous: Cheers bar is a nice place to be,owner, mrs kate very friendly, but d only problem is the rate of their food, its very expensive,am a regular there, love the warm welcome from the waitresses, but not too keen on the female supervisor, doesn't know her job, good work smiling Annabel, also chichi, tina, bola helen, thumps up!!!
gary: Cheers bar wen it opened new was a place 2 b,nice environment,d bush is excellent, though too much call girls sometimes..as for d bar girls,I must admit, majority of them re nice, just a few rude ones, but my favorite is by name Annabella, always cheerful n warm to customers, smiling always, and also a few nice ones, don't like d head girl, very rude n tried to dupe me,well,d food is good with the new expatriate chef, all in all,its a nice place...
Reviewer5: Phew! The bar girls are all hoes! All of them including the new female manageress with bloated tummy. A particular bar girl by the name hope was all over my husband, she followed him to the loo to give him her number. The "official" call girls there are quite decent. I can stand them but the waitresses I can't. All hoes in uniform. Certainly, never gonna recommend the place to anyone. Pssf!
Reviewer4: cheer bar waitresses re one of the most friendliest waitresses in lagos bar,not rude at all...thx mr alex the wahala man...you know me,will introduce mysef wen next u re in cheers..great guy.
Reviewer3: probably the rudest waitresses in Lagos
Reviewer2: Cheers is an excellent bar and their food is great, also the owners are very nice indeed all the bar girls are friendly and look after you, well worth a visit. Alex the Wahala man.
Reviewer1: This was a lovely place when it first opened. The food was great, the owner friendly, and a place the whole family could enjoy.... But then the 'Bar Girls' found it. Now the food is less likely to get people through the door because there is nowhere to sit and it isn't really the kind of place that wives find comfortable going (the stares from the men and women alike are very intimidating). Such a shame.... It could have been so good! I had recommended it to couples before, but I won't go there now.
