Shiro Restaurant & Bar

  • Area Victoria Island
  • Rating 4.0 of 5

Shiro, or castle in Japanese, is a dramatic soaring space that immediately captures the imagination and stretches the senses. The towering interior is finished in a unique combination of natural stone, woods, slate, leather, bamboo and velvet complemented by shimmering lotus pools, soft furniture and subtle lighting. The scale is impressive but so is the attention to detail. Raw smoky finishes combine with soft furnishings in a colour palate ranging from rust and caramel to rose.

Shiro’s ability to stimulate your senses continues with their diverse cuisine and sophisticated bar. Inspired by the fiery orient, the menu offers an eclectic mix of Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and Thai gastronomy that includes a wide range of sushi, sashimi and Cantonese dim sum to tempt even the most discerning of palates. If that doesn’t appeal to you, then perhaps the entertainment at one of it’s live Teppanyaki tables might. The signature cocktails there are international with an Asian twist complemented by a substantial wine list.

I really like Shiro! What I like most about it is the ambience. You can tell they went all out. I’ve been here so many times. My favourite thing to order is their rice and green curry it’s simply divine. Their sushi rolls are pretty basic but the ambience is great here. Great for dates, birthdays, whatever. Their Cubana’s outside by the water is such a nice Sunday chill spot both in the day and at night. Only thing I’d really complain about is the foul odour in their bathrooms. Something definitely went wrong plumbing wise that they couldn’t be bothered to fix. It also doesn’t help that there’s no ventilation. That aside. I’d definitely recommend Shiro to anyone. Quite pricey but definitely worth visiting at least once.

My best fine dining experience in Lagos👌 Food was cooked to perfection, the lamb chops was so tender and juicy, the Thai chicken curry had great flavor and texture was awesome. Desert was chocolate volcano.. 😋😍😍😍that's one chocolatey goodness.... I honestly couldn't fault any of the courses. Great Ambience with an Amazing view. Although, I was a little bit disappointed having to wait 10 -15 mins to get the table ready after making a reservation earlier. It's very Expensive but definitely worth it #myshiroexperience. I was called a day after from the restaurant for a review and that to me is a great service.💯👍👏
