I ate here during Mastercard restaurant week and the flavor of the food was surprisingly good. Most of the food I asked for was sold out and I started my meal with what was supposed to be a Caesar's salad. It definitely was not that, but the freshness of the greens and the light garnish was fantastic (I sorta expected much worse, and they served the best salad out of the 3 restaurants I visited during mcr). A good start to my meal. I ordered a chicken dish that was supposed to be stuffed with spinach and a slew of other fillings, but the stuffings came on top of the chicken...odd. Besides the randomness of the way the food was served, every bite of it was amazing. The food was not complicated and the flavors came out really well. In the case of the desert course, the options I wanted were sold out, so I got the only one available, a chocolate cake. They need to throw away the recipe for that cake and make up a new one that would have the consistency of the mix used to build houses. Terrible. The ambiance in here at 7pm was pretty terrible. A bit sketchy and seems like the space turns into a club at night. It was way too dark and the music was way too loud. I could barely hear myself think. Go there during the day to avoid that hot mess, hopefully the lights would be turned on and the music would not be blaring.

A very impressive restaurant with an ambiance and design that far out weighs the food offerings. I went during mastercard restaurant week and I ordered the Spicy hummus with crostinis, beef shawarma platter, and oven baked cheese cake. The only good thing I ate here was the hummus and thank goodness for the healthy portion it came in. The shawarma platter is an insult to the word shawarma. The shawarma platter on its own is not even enough to fill a kid and even a kid without discerning taste would be befuddled by the lack of flavor in the food. Waste of meat. The cheesecake portion made me laugh for a minute when it came to me. I understand Buhari times are tough, but really? I received a quarter of the usual serving portion and for a big fan of cheesecake, that was fine by me. I could not even finish it after the first bite. The cream was tasteless and it had me questioning if it was really cheesecake. Meh. If you ever HAVE to grub here, stick to the hummus.

The food here is less than 2 stars and the only saving grace here was the manager. I went during Mastercard restaurant week and everything I ate there had issues. From a soap tasting salad to a subpar shepard's pie that was begging for flavour to a slice of cheesecake that was not bad but for the soggy bottom that made the consistency of the cake very odd when chewing it. I decided to splurge a bit by buying the apple crumble and was immediately disappointed by all it had to offer. This was my second time going there and the first time was more pleasant than this. A little bit of issue also cropped up when I sat down to dine, I wanted to read a book on my iPad and mid read, I was told that use of tablet/computers are not allowed in the restaurant. I was ready to call it quits and go else where for lunch but the manager stepped in and his finesse in handling problem was surprisingly good. Somehow, I found myself dining in the beautiful outdoor garden area instead with flies buzzing around me. Not a fan of skin bites. Overall, I really should have gone elsewhere.

I guess I went there on a good day. The cheesy garlic bread was fresh & delicious. The rice was delicious but the lamb was less meat, more congealed fat. The apple pie crust was dry, ice cream delicious. I give them a five-star for service; having worked in the hospitality trade, I know how important service with a smile is.

Awesome place....their turkey entree was a bit tough too. Their drinks? Yum. If you love belly-filling food; you'll love IL Due

I had the pleasure of dinning out at Tarragon on the last day of the Mastercard Restaurant week. The wait staff were so polite and made sure I was comfortable. The homemade Brioche was like a piece of heavenly cloud in my mouth and paired with the herb and garlic butter made me want to not stop eating it! (I was offered more and I sheepishly had to decline). For starters I had the most delicious and creamy tomato soup (garnished with fired basil), the chef informed me that the tomatoes and peppers were roasted which gave it a slightly smoky flavor. For mains I had the steak fillet (medium rare). It turned out melt in your mouth delicious with a lovely char. This was paired with a delicious chilled glass of Douglas Green sweet red. Just when I thought my palate couldn't take any more pleasure, I finished the evening with an apricot lava cake with creme anglaise topped with a slice of candied orange. The bitterness of the orange wonderfully offset the sweetness of the divine creme anglaise. I had rather high expectations going in and was pleased to have those expectations exceeded. Will be back soon to try out more from the menu.

Convinced my colleagues to visit for MasterCard week. On getting there we found out we were the only ones there. I really don't know how to feel about empty restaurants because it could be one of two things, either your food is terrible or you're one of those if you know, you know restaurants. Either way , an empty space can never be good news. On to why we were there. We all got food from the MasterCard menu. Come to find out that 80% of the food on each course they did not have. This was hilarious because 1. I convinced my colleagues to come here based off their menu. 2. The waiter ( who was extremely nice, had the worst job of having to tell us so and so was not available). Extremely disappointing. At least if your restaurant is empty that means you should have ALL the food. Anyways, I had the cheesy garlic bread for my starter. Another hilarious thing because this was main sized. By the time I was done , I was through with dinner mentally. But I had to go on. For my main I had lamb with coconut rice. A bit meh for me. The rice was bland and the lamb was well, lamb. No other way to describe it other than it was dry. For my dessert I had waffles and cream. Only thing I was a fan of through out the night was the waffles . Thy were soft and warm and delicious. Shame I was filled up at that point and couldn't get through half of it. SHAME. The disaster in this course however was the ice cream. On getting there they had mentioned thy had no ice cream. We were all collectively dissapointed and I guess mr nice waiter sensed that so he went to dig out month old supreme Ice cream from the bottom of the freezer. Thing was more or less ice with milk. Don't know how else to describe it other than it was supreme ice cream going bad and it spoilt my dessert. Could have done without it. Will I be going here again? No. Unless somebody wants to treat me then maybe, just maybe .

Where do I start. I've been to bottles before but decided to try it again for MasterCard week. Dodgy location for a restaurant but what is new in lagos. I noted however that they've changed their menu. I saw this and thought the food must have stepped up a notch. I had a Mexicana cocktail (i think. I will get to this later). For my starter I had the teriyaki wings. I wonder why this is on a Mexican menu though or maybe I'm confused. Anyways I saw it and thought, anything teriyaki sign me up. Unfortunately these were very dry and I was forced to pack it up. Next I had the beef fajita. Another dissapointment as the beef was quite dry and I get the feeling it had been lying in the fridge somewhere for a week. I could be wrong tho but I didn't even get halfway through the main which is surprising for me. For my desert I got the brownie as they didn't have anything else on the menu. Let me just add that I hate brownies but had to get it. What came out was not a brownie though. More like a crepe/ chocolate / fudge/ nut get up. When I asked to clarify the waitress told me it was a brownie so I guess it was a brownie. Didn't finish that as well as it was quite overwhelming. To be honest if I'm ever visiting bottles again it would be just because. The cocktail I got ended up being water and something else. A 3/10. Average experience for me
